US Club Soccer’s Player Development Programs (PDP) is a regionally based identification and developmental program focused around the National Premier Leagues (NPL) and its regional league Gulf States Premier League (GSPL).  Invitations are based upon GSPL match performance, objective scouting of elite clubs and leagues, combined with recommendations from top Directors of Coaching from premier clubs in the gulf region such as:

  • Baton Rouge Soccer Club (Louisiana)
  • Cajun Soccer Club (Louisiana)
  • Chicago Fire Louisiana Jrs. (Louisiana)
  • Gulf Coast United FC (Mississippi)
  • Hattiesburg FC (Mississippi)
  • International FC (Mississippi)
  • Mandeville Soccer Club (Louisiana)
  • Mississippi Brilla Juniors (Mississippi)
  • Mississippi Rush (Mississippi)
  • Perdido Bay FC (FL)

Each PDP includes at least one training session and one internal competition.  The next step in the player pathway for our PBFC boys and girls would be selection into an id2 training camp and from there to a national selection team.  Both the id2 Program and PDP have been granted Olympic Development Program status by the U.S. Soccer Federation and the U.S. Olympic Committee.  Here are some of the benefits our players receive from participating in PDP:

  • US Club Soccer’s id2 Program staff on-site to scout national team-level players for inclusion in id2 Training Camps.
  • An opportunity to play with and against some of the area’s top players in the age group.
  • Top-level facilities and equipment, including one (1) full-size 11 vs. 11 field and referees.
  • Participation of the top players within the relevant geographic area based upon an approved scouting and recommendation process.
  • Presentation to the players from U.S. Soccer staff, technical leaders, or subject matter experts.

Our boys traveled to Mandeville, Louisiana and competed against the best players from quality clubs across the gulf region and distinguish themselves from the competition.  The event was top notch as the boys gained much needed experience in an identification setting, as well as playing with new players and for new coaches.  To read the article and get all of the details click https://www.usclubsoccer.org/news_article/show/1062465gu.  Congratulations boys and good luck the rest of the way!
