US Club Soccer’s Player Development Programs (PDP) is a regionally based identification and developmental program focused around the National Premier Leagues (NPL) and its regional league Gulf States Premier League (GSPL). Invitations are based upon GSPL match performance, objective scouting of elite clubs and leagues, combined with recommendations from top Directors of Coaching from premier clubs in the gulf region such as:
Each PDP includes at least one training session and one internal competition. The next step in the player pathway for our PBFC boys and girls would be selection into an id2 training camp and from there to a national selection team. Both the id2 Program and PDP have been granted Olympic Development Program status by the U.S. Soccer Federation and the U.S. Olympic Committee. Here are some of the benefits our players receive from participating in PDP:
Our boys traveled to Mandeville, Louisiana and competed against the best players from quality clubs across the gulf region and distinguish themselves from the competition. The event was top notch as the boys gained much needed experience in an identification setting, as well as playing with new players and for new coaches.
